Worsted weight yarn – approx. 264 (317) yds / 240 (288) m for hat; 230 yads / 210 m for cowl
or 2 skeins of Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage (100% Merino; 200 yd / 182 m per 100 g ball) for both hat and cowl in Size M
Adult cowl with Size M hat shown in Sugarplum

or Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted (75% Merino, 15% Silk, 10% Goat; 210 yd / 192 m per 100 g ball)

US 6 and 7 / 4 and 4.5 mm needles – hat: 16”/40 cm circulars and set of dpns (larger size only) or long circular for Magic Loop; cowl: 16”/40 cm circulars
If necessary, adjust needle size to obtain accurate gauge

Gauge (worked in the round, after blocking)
22 sts and 24 rnds = 4”/10 cm in Twisted Rib on smaller needle
21 sts and 23 rnds = 4”/10 cm in pattern stitch on larger needle
