Description
Pattern Notes
This vest is worked flat, in rows, from the top down and in one piece.
The yoke is worked back and forth with shoulder increases and V-neck shaping. After the initial yoke section is complete, the stitches are divided into two front sections and the back. Each section is worked separately to the underarm, with neck shaping continued along the front edges.
At the underarm, all sections are joined and the body is worked flat in one piece to the hem. Chevron shaping is incorporated at the waist to form directional darts that enhance the fit. The hem is finished with an I-cord bind-off.
An applied I-cord edging is then worked along the fronts and neckline to create a clean finish and integrated buttonholes. The same I-cord edging is also worked around the armholes for a polished, cohesive look.
