Description
This hat was worked flat from the bottom. No need to shape earflaps, it simple covers your ears. Patten provides two options for the crown shape: knitted flat and in the round. DPNs are used for shaping crown but Magic Loop method could be substituted.

Materials
Approximately 110 (132, 148) 160 yds / 100 (120, 135) 150 m. or 2 (2, 3) 3 skeins of Phildar Partner 6 (50% Polyamide, 25% Acrylic, 25% Wool; 71 yds / 65 m = 50 gr) or and bulky yarn weight that will knit to gauge

US 9 / 5.5 mm straight needles and set of dpns or long circular for Magic Loop
If necessary, adjust needle size to obtain accurate gauge

2 stitch markers, 2 flat buttons ½” (1.5 cm) diameter, 1 flat heart shaped button, tapestry needle, crochet hook
Gauge
15 sts and 20 rows over 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch on US 9 / 5.5 mm needles, before blocking
14 sts and 20 rows over 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch on US 9 / 5.5 mm needles, after blocking
