Description
Construction Note
Vera scarf is a symmetrical triangular scarf worked sideways—from one tip to the center, then back to the opposite tip. Shaping takes place on one side only, increasing every 6 rows and later decreasing every 6 rows.
Yarn amount: I used 2 balls of DROPS Kid-Silk for the light sample, and slightly less for the gray (smaller) version with leftovers. To get proper drape and coverage, I suggest not going below the listed finished measurements for the smaller size, and choosing your yarn with that in mind.
Finished Measurements
Smaller Size — grey sample
Length from tip to tip: 43¼ “ / 110 cm
Center depth: 19¼ “ / 49 cm
This is the minimal length that gives the scarf a comfortable, wearable size to wrap once around the neck
Materials
Lace weight yarn – approx. 415 yds / 380 m
or 2 balls of DROPS Kid-Silk by Garnstudio
(75% Goat – Mohair, 25% Silk;

Gauge
(blocked)
9 sts and 23 rows = 4”/10 cm in Broiche Rib
NOTE: for Broiche St each elongated stitch in a column
of knit stitches represents two rows
(2 worked rows = 1 counted row)
Gauge is not crucial for the Vera scarf project, but variations will affect yardage and final measurements
